The Life Cycle Initiative's aims consists on putting life cycle thinking into practice and at improving the supporting tools through better data and indicators. The specific objectives are to:
1. Collect and disseminate information on successful applications of life cycle thinking;
2. Share knowledge about the interface between Life Cycle Assessment and other tools;
3. Identify best practice indicators and communication strategies for life cycle management;
4. Provide a basis for capacity building;
5. Expand the availability of sound LCA data and methods;
6. Facilitate the use of life cycle based information and methods.
